With smart solutions, possible security risks will be measured and evaluated quickly, and communication and coordination will be made more effective.
While creating the strategies for the Smart Security field, it was deemed opportune to benefit more from the developments in connection, sensor, data storage, image processing technologies and IoT security standards.
The lack of coordination between different law enforcement agencies, Istanbul’s electricity grid energy load, data analysis and forecasting were determined as the points that Istanbul needs to improve in the field of security.
The existence of comprehensive monitoring systems, sufficient knowledge in the field of security and people-focused management approaches, and increased efforts in the field of earthquakes are Istanbul’s security strengths.
A safer city will be achieved by increasing data sharing, improving coordination and integration between law enforcement agencies, and turning data into useful information through advanced analysis and forecasting systems.
It is crucial for Istanbul to be able to defend itself against earthquakes, terrorist incidents, cyberattacks, rampant population growth and political fluctuions in the neighboring countries.
